Kinder to Grade 12 |
I would like to discuss something about the K+12 education program that will be implemented here in the Philippines. K to 12 stands for Kindergarten to Grade 12. The program covers Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education one (1) year kindergarten, six (6) years of primary education, four
(4) years of Junior High School, and two (2) years of Senior High School
[SHS]. It is followed by six years of Elementary, four years of Junior High
School, and two years of Senior High School where students will pursue
their preferred career track depending on their skills and inclination.
Grade 1 entrants in SY 2012–2013 are the first batch to fully undergo
the program, and current 1st year Junior High School students (or Grade
7) are the first to undergo the enhanced secondary education program.Grade 11 will be introduced in SY 2016–2017 and Grade 12 in SY
2017–2018. The first batch of high school students to go through K to 12
will graduate in March 2018.The two (2) years will be added after the four (4) year high school program. This will be called the Senior High School.
We
should have knowledge to it and be responsible enough to have the care
to know something about it.
Some of the Advantages of having grades K to 12 are: Children receive an education that starts with the simplest concepts and build on them each year as they get older and All children can be educated. The advantages of having grades K to 12 are: Children receive an education that starts with the simplest concepts and build on them each year as they get older and all children can be educated. The disadvantages of having grades K to 12 are: In a classroom setting, subjects are often separate and students do not see how one subject relates to another, a classroom environment is an unnatural learning environment and students most often do not get to explore their own talents and interests.
To develop good education, there was the launch of K-12 education in the
nation, which aims in assisting graduates to get employment without any
troubles. The Philippine’s basic education is one of the shortest in Asia. Despite
the short span of education, too many students are dropping out of
school to help augment the family’s income. Poverty is seen as a major
problem of the inability of Filipino students to finish a college
degree. We must be wise enough and believe in the positive side of it, for us to success without doubting and believe to our self that we can make it whatever it takes.
